Girlguiding Leicestershire have launched a Growth Challenge badge.
Each section has a list of challenges to choose from including wearing their uniform to school and promoting Girlguiding locally.
Rainbows are required to complete 3 challenges.
Brownies are required to complete 4 challenges.
Guides/Ranger/young leaders/adult volunteers are required to complete 5 challenges.
Each section will receive a different coloured hemmed badge.

Girlguiding Leicestershire's Water Weekend is on Friday 15 May - Sunday 17 May 2020.
WHAT IS IT?
This is an opportunity open to all Guides and Rangers in Leicestershire and Rutland to camp, explore new activities and make new friends.
The cost of the weekend is a central fee of £50 per Guide or Ranger, £10 per adult volunteer which includes all the activities and a badge. Units will need to add an additional cost for food.
An additional cost of £10 per person is charged for anyone wanting to participate in the high ropes/climbing and abseiling.
A non-refundable deposit of £20 per young member is required with the booking form.

A day for Guides and Rangers (11yrs - 18 yrs) to achieve their Skills Builder Lead level 5 badges. This day has now been opened up to 11+ Guides All the required elements of the skills builder will be covered.
The day will be ran by the British Army at their barracks in Rutland.
Guides/Rangers will need to bring a packed lunch.
Ratios: 10:1 (the girls will be working in teams of 10)

Cost: this is a free event (please only book for girls who will be definitely attending)

County Training Day 2020

Come and join us for the County Training Day. Meet old friends and make some new ones. The theme of the day is the programme. The day will include sessions on the various themes and are cross sectional.
Arrive from 9.00 am and grab a coffee before the county commissioner delivers her welcome. Spend the rest of the day taking part in sessions.
The morning sessions are based on the six theme awards, there are also sessions on 1st Response Refresher, GO and meet a LQ mentor.

Peer Educator Training Weekend

Peer Educator Training Weekend - Saturday 4 April - Sunday 5 April 2020
What is a Peer Educator? A Peer Educator is a Ranger or young leader aged up to 26 years, who can run sessions on a range of different topics including; gender stereotyping, mental resilience, body confidence and self-esteem. Sessions can be for Brownies, Guides, Rangers and even leaders! You can also run sessions outside of Guiding.
During the weekend you will:

Cost: £25 - includes catering
Requirements: you must attend the two days training, complete the Peer Education e-learning, level 1 and 2 a safe space e-learning and watch the Breaking Fee and Think Resilient videos and complete the quizzes.
