Please note: For Sleepovers, look under Residential Facilities
County Office is ideally situated in the city centre, a short distance from the Railway station, for hiring a room for your meeting or event. There are two main choices - 'Sycamore' or 'Willow' with a further small room 'Alder'. Please note that we do not have a lift.
‘Sycamore’ on the top floor is accessed by stairs only and is the largest of the two rooms. It has 2 toilets and a kitchen which has a built-in electric oven with gas hob, microwave electric kettle, crockery and cutlery. It is self contained and has 1 portable whiteboard with flipchart.
‘Willow’ on the ground floor has a permanent screen and 2 whiteboards with flipchart. There is a disabled toilet and a small kitchen with microwave and electric kettle, close by. Access to the store room and water fountain may be needed, if hired during normally working hours.
'Alder' is suitable for approximate 12 people, is situated on the first floor and has a portable whiteboard with flipchart. This room has no direct assess to toilet or kitchen facilities but the ones on the ground floor may be used.
Chairs and tables can be found in each room for you to arrange as you wish but please return them to their original place, unless otherwise requested.
Any equipment that you may require in addition to what is available in each room, will need to be booked and paid for in the usual way - see Equipment Hire under Resources.
Tea, Coffee, Hot chocolate and squash is usually provided but please bring your own milk.
Fees - Please contact County Office on email@example.com or 0116 254 5290.
There is no charge for the hiring of rooms, for Girlguiding Leicestershire groups.
Cleaning - when extra cleaning is needed after your meeting/event, a charge will be levied against the group.
Damages - if anything is damaged or broken during your meeting/event, you should expect to replace this after discussion with County Office.
Keys - You will need to collect the keys at least three days before the start of your meeting/event. At this time you will be shown around the building and given instructions with regards to the security of the building (if you are not a regular user of the building), which should take approximately 30 minutes. This MUST be someone who will be attending your meeting/event.
Office hours are normally 10.00 am - 4.00 pm Monday to Friday but we are sometimes available outside of these hours, by prior arrangement. Even if you have been before, things may have changed since your last visit.
Security/Fire safety - It is vital that you submit a mobile number, when booking, for someone who will be at your meeting/event.
It is the responsibility of the person who books the room, to ensure that all security processes are carried out, when locking and unlocking the building.
Print room (first floor) and general offices - these are usually only available for use by members of staff, please do not enter these rooms without permission.
